YOUR KEYNOTE COMPANION

Make here. Build in Keynote.

  1. Choose a look.

Pick a layout and a colour family. Use the same family across your presentation.

  2. Download your background.

The PNG has no words or guide boxes. On iPad, find it in Downloads in the Files app. If needed, open the image and use Share to save it to Photos.

  3. Add it in Keynote.

Select your slide. Open Format (the paintbrush), then Background → Image → Replace. Choose your saved picture. Use Scale to Fill and match your slide’s shape.

  4. Add your own words and pictures.

Follow your chosen layout. Keep the title biggest. Add text in Keynote so you can still edit it.

  5. Stand back and check.

Can a friend find your main idea straight away?

A layout guide is a picture to copy from, not an editable Keynote slide. A background contains decoration only. This app does not open or change your Keynote file.

For your teacher

No accounts, adverts or tracking. Designs stay in this browser on this device. Shared iPads share saved designs. Clearing browser data removes them. Download any backgrounds you want to keep.

Try: 2 minutes noticing a design principle, 3 minutes choosing a look, then return to Keynote. Ask children to explain one choice.
